Our story
The beginning of forever.
We were neighbors for three years, but it feels as though our lives had been intertwined long before we ever truly met. We have always joked that an invisible string was pulling us together.
While Hadley was living in Park City, Matt frequently traveled there for work and took snowboarding trips with his friends. We later discovered we had separate photos—Hadley with her girlfriends and Matt with his guy friends—taken in the exact same corner of the exact same bar, just one weekend apart. There were near misses in the Bay Area, too, and we even had the same soccer number: #11.
When Hadley brought Tank home, Matt and his two sons, Jaxson and Mack, were the very first people to meet her precious golden retriever puppy. At the time, we didn’t even know each other’s names, yet somehow we were already writing our story.
After three years of neighborly waves, we finally met at just the right time. Hadley learned Matt’s name when he stopped to ask if she was selling a desk from her driveway. What started as a simple transaction became a conversation, then a friendship that felt surprisingly natural—as if we had known each other for years.
What began with a sold desk has grown into the beautiful life we are building together. Matt has taught Hadley the ins and outs of baseball with frequent visits to Angels Stadium, and we love our morning coffee walks, where our orders are already being made before we even step through the door.
From our shared love for football, e-bike rides, and ocean dips to celebrating any holiday, playing soccer with the boys, and blasting Bob Seger, life is simply better and easier together. Above all, we’ve found true best friends in each other. We are so grateful for the paths that kept bringing us closer, for the people who make every chapter better, and for the chance to celebrate this next one with all of you.
